PRESIDENT:

    • Travis DeVore, RPL, CPE – IU Health

      Travis Devore,Chapter President
    • Travis Devore is the Manager of Communications for Indiana University Health LifeLine EMS in Indianapolis.  Travis previously served as Deputy Director at Johnson County Public Safety Communications and has been involved with public safety communication for 16 years.  He currently serves as the President of IN APCO.  Travis completed the APCO Registered Public Safety
      Leader (RPL) Program in 2020 and the APCO Certified Public Safety Executive (CPE) program in 2021.  He is also involved with Indiana TERT and is an instructor with the Denise Amber Lee Foundation.

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL:

Fred Cummings, RPL, CMCP – Delaware County

      Fred is currently the Director of Delaware County 911 in Muncie, IN.  Prior to his move to Muncie, Fred served as a 911 Supervisor in Minnesota.  Prior to this he worked as a 911 dispatcher and supervisor in Vermont and New Hampshire.  He also spent over 30 years in Fire/EMS in New Hampshire.  Fred was formerly a member of Atlantic Chapter of APCO Executive Board, where he was Chapter President in 2018-2019.

  • Heath Brant – Johnson County
    • Heath Brant is the Executive Director for Johnson County Public Safety Communications where he is responsible for 37 employees and 24

      police and fire agencies.  Heath began his public safety career in 2001 and spent over 10 years as a correctional officer and an administrator in a correctional facility before making the move to public safety communications in 2011.  Heath took over as a Supervisor with Johnson County in 2014 and was appointed as Johnson County’s first Deputy Director in 2016 and then took over as the Executive Director in 2018.  Heath is a graduate of CMCP class 81 and is scheduled to complete his APCO RPL in the fall of 2022.  Heath is married and has two children.  If you are looking for Heath and he is not in the office or not at a kids sporting event, check the golf course, there’s a pretty good chance that’s where he is.

SECRETARY/TREASURER:

  • Kyle James, CMCP – Delaware County
    Kyle James, Secretary/Treasurer & Historian
    • Kyle James is currently the Deputy Director at Delaware County 911.  Kyle previously served as a dispatcher, trainer/instructor, and assistant shift supervisor in Madison County from 2009-2021.  He has served on the Indiana Chapter of APCO as Secretary/Treasurer since 2019 and is the Chapter’s Historian.  He also serves on the APCO International Historical Committee and the Member & Chapter Services Committee.  In 2021 Kyle received his Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP) through NENA in CMCP Class #99.

CHAPTER COMMERCIAL ADVISORY MEMBER:

    • Janyll Stierwalt – Motorola Solutions
      Janyll Stierwalt, CCAM
      • Janyll has over 25 years outside sales experience in varies aspects of computer technology. Most recently covering the state of Indiana as an Account Representative for Word Systems, Inc. Janyll focuses on working with 911 Directors, Sheriff’s Departments, Police Chiefs, Detectives and Judges.  Janyll has been an active member of NENA and APCO since 2013. In 2016 Janyll was nominated to the APCO Executive Board as the Commercial Advisory Representative. Janyll is also a member of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association. In 2018 Janyll was elected to the CAC – Commercial Advisory Council for APCO International.  Janyll was born and raised on a large farm in Eminence, Indiana. After high school Janyll continued on to Butler University and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. Janyll currently lives in Fishers with her daughter, dog, and cat. They actively attend First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church where Janyll has served multiple terms as both an Elder and Deacon.
    • Brent Jensen, ENP – Intrado
      • Brent Jensen is an Account Manager with Intrado- Life & Safety.   He previously served as Executive Director of Madison County Central Dispatch, where he was responsible for 40 employees, over 30

        police and fire agencies, and 130,000 citizens. Brent has served in this role since 2017, and has served in emergency services for over 15 years. Brent has experience in firefighting, hazmat, and EMS operations and uses this experience daily to ensure dispatch and responders can work seamlessly. He is a proud member of CMCP class 51, and earned his ENP in 2021. Brent is married with two daughters and is blessed to spend his free time watching them play basketball, volleyball, and any other sport of the week.

  • David Bubb, CMCP- Allen County
    David Bubb, Director
    • David Bubb began his public safety communications career and involvement in APCO in New York State.  He spent 17 years working as a dispatcher, trainer, supervisor, and an APCO Institute adjunct instructor. David was APCO Atlantic Chapter President in 1991-1992. In Jan 1993 he was offered a staff position with the APCO Institute as a full-time instructor.  He went on to become Deputy Director and Director of the Institute. After 12 years with APCO International David got back into the PSAP environment and managed a couple of different operations in Central Florida before being offered the Executive Director position with the Fort Wayne Allen County 9-1-1 Consolidate Communications Partnership in 2018.  He is honored to serve on the Board of Indiana APCO as a Director.
